In a sport where resilience, grit, and determination define champions, Unstoppable Dreams offers a powerful look inside the journey of Australia’s leading female motocross racer, Charli Cannon. Presented by Honda Racing and supported by Quad Lock, this video marks the first of a three – part series documenting Honda Racing’s Charli Cannon’s 2025 season—a year defined by adversity, ambition, and courage.
At just 20 years old, Charli has already amassed six Australian Championships, two Oceanic titles, and countless state and club victories. But 2025 presented her with her greatest test yet, mentally and physically. Just one week before her long-awaited debut in the American AMA Motocross Championship, Charli suffered a serious crash, dislocating and fracturing her index finger in two places. Surgery was required if she was to even line up on the gate.
“It wasn’t about pain, it was about possibility,” explains Charli in the film. “I didn’t come this far to stop. I was racing for more than just myself; I am racing for change.”
Her surgeon, Dr. Steven Andrews, echoes the severity of the situation:
“We had one option: surgery. The injury was complex. Whether she could race came down to her ability to endure the pain, to use the clutch, to hold on, and more than anything, her mental strength.”
Despite intense swelling and the inability to ride between rounds, Just six days post-surgery Charli lined up and delivered. She finished 4th, 3rd, and 2nd in her opening three AMA races, not the results she had dreamed of, but victories in every other sense.
“It was about survival,” she admits. “I don’t know what the results would have been if I were at 100%, but I do know how hard it was just to hold on. And I had to race.”
The video, narrated by Olympic gold medallist Giann Rooney, offers an unfiltered look at Charli’s rise, from a junior racer in Australia to a globally recognised athlete redefining expectations in a male-dominated sport. It is an emotional, raw, and ultimately empowering story of what it means to chase dreams, break barriers, and inspire future generations.
This is more than a race recap. Unstoppable Dreams celebrates courage, representation, and purpose. As Charli puts it:
“To have people like James Stewart commentate our races live on TV, to see women’s motocross talked about on the same stage as the men, it was a massive win for all of us.”
With two rounds remaining in the Australian Motocross Championship and three more in the U.S., Charli’s season is far from over. Whether she competes in the MXGP in Darwin remains undecided, but its something she would like to do.
“My focus is on finishing strong here and in America. We’ll make a call on Darwin soon, but its something I would like to do” she says.
Honda, Fly Racing, Quad Lock, Berry Sweet, Tempur and SCT Logistics are proud to support Charli Cannon, an athlete who embodies determination, professionalism, and vision. As women continue to gain recognition in motorsport, Charli’s story serves as a rallying cry for young girls everywhere: the future of riding motorcycles is for everyone.
